About me
Sary Levy-Carciente is a qualified economist with Master in International Economics and PhD in Development Studies. Experience in research, consultancy and management, she has a creative and critical thinking with innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. Sary has the ability to work flexibly on a range of assignments and adjusting to prioritize a variety of complex evolving tasks.
She works effectively in multidisciplinary teams, including distance collaboration in a wide geographical scope. Having solid problems-solving’s skills and an agile work mentality, she is able to adapt to any working environment or organizational processes.
Project coordinator identifying needs and opportunities, strong attention to details, eventualities and public relations. Ability to work with utmost discretion on sensitive issues, and maintaining strict security over information.
Currently, she is a Researcher Scientist at the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom at Florida International University.
She is a Numbered Fellow of the National Academy of Economic Sciences (Venezuela), which she presided over from 2021 to 2023, and was Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the UCV (2008-2011) and Director of its Research Institute (2004-2008). Since 2015, she is responsible for the calculation and analysis of the International Property Rights Index (PRA, Washingtong DC) and coordinates the Index of Bureucracy.
